This international exchange programme allowed me to immerse myself in a different educational and cultural environment, broadening my global perspective. Interacting with students from diverse backgrounds, I gained insights into various teaching methodologies and artistic practices. The programme fostered cross-cultural understanding, adaptability, and a sense of global citizenship, inspiring me to embrace new experiences and perspectives in my educational journey. This experience was my introduction to Canva, a designing tool I heavily utilised as the SYFC Vice-chairperson, particularly for media design.

BBS Learning Journey

Participating in the BBS Learning Journey in 2023 offered me a firsthand look into the different world education systems and corporate cultures. Interactions with industry professionals and immersive experiences, such as visiting the Gojek company, gave me valuable insights into business operations, management strategies, and leadership principles.

2023 S3-04 Service Learning Project

In the 2023 S3-04 Service Learning Project, we built a hydroponic system to promote sustainable agriculture. This aligns with Singapore's Green Plan 2030 and the 30 by 30 goal. Students will maintain the farm, and crops will be used by canteen vendors. The project aimed to raise awareness about food security and sustainability.

2024 S4-04 Service Learning Project

Participating in the park clean-up project was rewarding. We targeted litter in parks, essential for recreation and stress relief, by collaborating with NParks and NEA. We conducted a recce outing to scout the area and a main outing for students to collect litter. Our advocacy team also ran social media campaigns to promote park cleanliness and environmental care.

Work Experience

Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN)

During my time in APSN in the first quarter of 2025, I supported the learning of young individuals with special needs. As a Classroom Instructor Assistant, I was responsible for helping with the teaching of young individuals with special needs, which required clear communication, patience and adaptability. I was able to adjust my teaching methods based on each students' needs. This experience further developed my empathy and adaptability, as I had to constantly respond to students' varying emotional and cognitive responses. My efforts were praised by the educators, and over time, I saw improvements in student engagement.

In parallel, I also served as a Training Materials Developer, responsible with the designing and creation of worksheets and online activities for young individuals with special needs. This required adaptability and empathy, as I had to adjust content to suit their various learning needs. Feedback from educators indicated that the resources were effective and well-received, showing that I have the ability to apply user-centric design principles in real-world contexts.
